A beautiful barn at Belle Grove Plantation
, a historic house museum, located at 336 Belle Grove Road in Middletown, Virginia. Completed in 1797, the Manor House was designed in the Classical Revival architectural style and served as the residence of Major Isaac Hite and his wife Nelly Madison Hite, sister of President James Madison. Belle Grove Plantation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. The Plantation and surrounding Cedar Creek Battlefield
were designated a National Historic Landmark District in 1969 and National Historic Park in 2002.
