This is the first time I've put together a shot like this. My daughter was kind enough to pose for me for a shoot at St. Alban's Sanatorium, a retired hospital in Radford, Virginia. We took pictures for about 3 hours in 38 F degree weather - my poor daughter couldn't feel her feet by the time we were done. We used only window light and did quite a few levitation shots.
St. Alban's is a great place to shoot. It is normally open for paranormal tours and such but Saturday they had a photography tour. Probably because it was so cold, there was only one other photographer there so Amy and I had about the entire place for ourselves. In the end we only shot in 4 different rooms and the place is huge.
This was taken in a corner of a common area next to a window.. There was plywood in the window and I added the clouds to hide it and give the image the fantasy feel.
